CAMPUS MINISTRY
Since 1966, the FCA Ministry has been present on campuses all across the country. The Campus Ministry is initiated and led by student-athletes and coaches on junior high, high school and college campuses.

The purpose of Campus Ministry, through various types, has been to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and to seek to grow and mature a follower of Jesus Christ. The “win” of Campus Ministry is to see campuses impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.

GREATER NASHVILLE FCA CLUSTERS
We have established 13 Clusters in Davidson County and 3 Clusters in Williamson County. Each Cluster has 7-10 schools and two Field Staff (one male and one female) serving Middle Schools, High Schools and Colleges. A Leadership Team of Board members, FCA Staff and volunteers will work together to advance the ministry within their assigned Cluster.

MINISTRY OVERVIEW

MINISTRY MODEL
PROBLEM
ISSUES TEENS ARE FACING—Increasingly, Tennessee teens are facing destructive issues: suicide, cyber-bullying and bullying at school, pregnancy, drug abuse, eating disorders, gangs, depression, video game violence and porn. More than 1 in 20 U.S. children and teens have anxiety and depression.

LACK OF HOPE— Young people are suffering from toxic emotions like worry, shame, confusion, despair and fear. Many have lost the ability to plan or dream for their future.

DEFICIENT SPIRITUAL GROWTH— Our teens live in an anti-Christian culture, where temptations abound, and for most, there is an absence of a spiritual leader in their life.

SOLUTION
We seek to make disciples through our methods of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

ENGAGE— We engage coaches and athletes through genuine relationships sharing our lives and the gospel. We engage through Huddle groups, team Bible studies, Coaches Bible studies, and team chapels.

EQUIP—We equip coaches and athletes to grow in Christ through God’s Word. We provide 3D Coaching, Bible Studies, Coaches Camps and retreats. We equip athletes by providing unique to FCA: the Athletes Bible and summer camps, college retreats, online resources for devotions, Bible studies and spiritual growth plans.

EMPOWER—We empower coaches and athletes to engage and equip others to know and grow in Christ. They lead Bible studies, Huddle groups, and one-on-one discipleship. They invite others to camps and organize student events, like Fields of Faith, on their campuses.

GROWTH STRATEGY
SHRINK TO GROW— FCA’s approach to developing deeper relationships, greater discipleship and enhanced connections by forming clusters of 7-10 schools with 2 staff members (1 male; 1 female) in each cluster.

ESTABLISH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS— Develop connections in the community by intentionally engaging churches, non-profits and local businesses to assist in fulfilling the vision of Greater Nashville FCA.

INVEST IN VOLUNTEERS— FCA values Huddle Sponsors, Character Coaches, and provides ministry resources and support to those serving on campuses and teams.
