David Pollack is a former NFL player, College Football Hall of Famer, and University of Georgia legend. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and raised in Snellville, Georgia, he now lives in the Greater Athens area with his wife Lindsey and their two children, Nicholas and Leah.At Georgia, Pollack was a three-time All-American and still holds the school record with 36 sacks. He earned numerous honors, including the 2002 SEC Player of the Year and several national defensive awards in 2004. Drafted 17th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005, his NFL career was cut short by a neck injury.After retiring, Pollack transitioned to broadcasting, joining ESPN in 2009 and becoming a key analyst on College GameDay from 2011 to 2023. He also contributed to College Football Live, SportsCenter, and playoff coverage. Beyond football, David is a motivational speaker and co-host of the Family Goals Podcast, which he launched in 2021 with his pastor. In 2016, he and his family founded The Pollack Family Foundation, focusing on faith, family, and community.
